19. Tender is the Night, F. Scott Fitzgerald
I forgot how wonderful Fitzgerald is. I read The Great Gatsby my junior year of high school, and loved it. Fitzgerald's prose is absolutely beautiful. This novel is not nearly as good as Gatsby, in my opinion, but interesting all the same. Dick's downward spiral was almost physically painful for me to read - that is how emotive his work is.
